India’s Most Prestigious Examination Notification is out now. Yes, I am talking about the Civil Services Examination 2014 Notification. The Notification was released by UPSC on its Official Website on 31st May, 2014.
There were speculations about the major changes this year to be made by UPSC in the format of the mains examinations which fallen just rumors.
It’s now a good reason for aspirants to have smiles and on their faces as UPSC had made two important and relieving changes from this year onwards:
A. First, there is an increase in the No. of Attempts. Now General Category Candidates can appear for SIX Times in the Prelims exam. For OBC, the No. of attempts is Nine and FOR SC’s and ST’s. there is No Limit.
B. The Upper Age Limit is increased by 2 years. Now, Candidates upto the Age of 32 years can apply for Civil Services Exam. The Previous Upper Age Limit is 30 years.
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Civil Services Preliminary Exam on 24th of August, 2014 (Sunday). Last Date to apply online for UPSC Civil Services Exam is 30th June, 2014. The mains exam are slated to be started from 14th of December 2014.
All other details, syllabus are unchanged and aspirant should refer the official notification and keep visiting on UPSC website for the updates.
