Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College is now a University and will be known as “Madan Mohan Malaviya Technical University (MMMTU)”  from today i.e. 1^st December 2013. MMMEC was established in 1962 and was affiliated with UP state technical university Gautam Buddha Technical University, Lucknow. In year 2011, UGC granted it as Autonomous Institute. It has been the prestigious centre for studies in not only Purvanchal but in state after IIT Kanpur and BHU (now it is IIT).

UGC has already awarded these two (IITs) as autonomous and MMMEC is the third one in the state who has recognized as Technical University. During the college visit of hon’ble Chief Minister of UP, Mr Akhilesh Yadav, has declared it to be recognize it as a fully residential Technical University. Chief Minister had visited BRD Medical Colleges also and that one is also expecting a big change.

In July, it was announced by UGC when MMMEC was celebrating its golden jubilee year. Now, MMMEC is able to starts its own various technical diploma as well degree courses. Its good sign as college will be able to raise funds for research & trainings.
